28 March 2016 in the premises of the Prosecutor's office of the region held training seminar on the theme "features of the organization of work of local prosecutors in the sphere of juvenile justice in terms of legislative changes,” which aims to increase the level of work of prosecution bodies in this area. The seminar was held with the participation of the representative of the office of juvenile justice of the GPU, heads of local prosecutors, their deputies and all juvenile prosecutors region. The event was discussed the organization of work of bodies of Prosecutor's office on juvenile justice issues. Opening the seminar, Deputy Prosecutor of the region Andrey Novikov noted that the state continue the process of implementation of the juvenile justice system. At SV’connection with this, the protection of children must be a priority in the activities of each of the prosecutors for the enforcement of children's constitutional rights in criminal proceedings, enforcement of sentences and other coercive measures,protection of state interests in this area. He also noted that the reform of criminal procedure, which took place a few years ago, aimed at humanizing and improving safeguards for the protection of the rights of a person. Consequently, minors in criminal proceedings enjoy additional guarantees. Criminal procedure code foresees the specialization of investigators and judges in criminal proceedings against minors, the peculiarities of its implementation, the conditions for the application to minors of a measure of restraint, sets out the issues of conclusion of transactions and the like. The Criminal code of Ukraine contains links to specific applications to teenagers to criminal punishment, the release of the latter from punishment. In the implementation of criminal proceedings and of the proceedings in the juvenile there is still a lot of problematic issues which became the subject of discussion. Present at the workshop discussed General issues of the implementation of pre-trial investigation and procedural guidance pre-trial investigation of criminal proceedings against minors, the organization of work of the Prosecutor exercising supervision over the observance of the rights of minors in criminal proceedings the General principles of the maintenance of Prosecutor of the state prosecution in criminal proceedings against minors.
