Chairman of the Ternopil regional state administration met with representatives of the OSCE
the Governor Stepan Barna met with representatives of the Ivano-Frankivsk branch of the Special OSCE monitoring mission in Ukraine. The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Ternopil regional Council Victor Ovcharuk, Deputy Chairman – head of regional state administration Igor Vons and the heads of several structural units of the RSA. Meeting with the leadership of the Ternopil region was associated with the change of head of the Ivano-Frankivsk office of the OSCE SMM. Now in this position is David Piguet. Along the way, because Ivano-Frankivsk office has a mandate to work on the territory of Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia and Ternopil regions, representatives of the OSCE enquired about the issues concerning General security, social protection of the ATO participants and IDPs and also discussed the political situation and the decentralization reform. "We are interested in joint projects with OSCE, which will focus on the protection of territorial integrity and the development of our state. Therefore, we are ready and open to cooperation, – said during the meeting Stepan Barna. – At the same time, I want to thank the organization for security and cooperation in Europe for the support of the territorial integrity of our state. For us it is important to do everything to defeat the invader, which is temporarily located on the territory of Donetsk and Lugansk regions and Crimea. For us it is obvious: it is the Russian Federation. And what of the region, more than 90 soldiers gave their lives on the Eastern front, requires us to respectively a clear position in assessing the role of the Russian Federation in this war. So I would like to hear from you a clear position in the process of our cooperation and to see the maximum objectivity in the assessment of the Ukrainian-Russian war and the occupation of the territory of Ukraine in the East of our state."
