In the Zhytomyr region rescuers reminded the fishermen of the rules of safe behavior on the ice
in the Winter when everything is covered with snow and ice, many winter anglers’is the desire to spend time with a fishing rod on the edge of the hole, and the children want to play on the ice. In this regard, January 13 employees of the Ovruch district Department DSNS in the region carried out preventive working off of places of winter fishing on the pond near the village of Ovruch district Solomki. With all the tourists at the lake Solomka were conducted explanatory conversations on necessity of observance of rules of safe behavior on the ice. People were given leaflets with recommendations as to how to behave while on the ice, and what to do in case when a person fell through the ice. In addition, local residents and fishermen rescuers conditionally demonstrated several ways to rescue the victim trapped in the icy water. All activities were aimed at preventing deaths on the water and awareness of the citizens of the dangers of ice melts intensively. Rescuers of Zhytomyr region are also concerned by the fact that many fishermen go out daily on the thin ice of ponds and thus did not care about personal safety. The number of people on the ice of the waters in Zhitomir and region, is gradually increased – especially on weekends. Unfortunately, not every pond or river life-saving station there, and not everyone is lucky to have a number of professional rescuer while fishing. In this regard, employees of gschs, communicating with the fishermen turn their attention toward that safe ice does not exist. In many places, warm currents tempted the ice from below, so the output is like this on the ice, especially on unfamiliar water can be extremely dangerous.
