Khmelnytskyi: "Land Marks"
Within the walls of Khmelnytsky regional art Museum from 14 January to this day continues to view the personal exhibition of honored artist of Ukraine Alexander Gumenjuk. The artist was born in 1952 in Primorsky Krai, graduated from the faculty of design at the Latvian state art Academy. Zalkalna in Riga. For more than thirty years living and working in Brussels. As a muralist carried out various decorative works in the technique of sgraffito, mural painting, three-dimensional stained-glass Windows, ceramic panels. Repeated participant and prize-winner of Republican, regional and regional exhibitions. Held several solo exhibitions abroad and in different cities of Ukraine. Since 2002 — member of the National Union of artists of Ukraine. More than ten years he taught artistic disciplines in our University. Together with the people's artist Nikolai Mazur participated in the development and creation of the first in Ukraine unique Museum "in memory of victims of Holodomor of 1932-33ãã.", which was opened in October 2008 at the State historical and cultural reserve "Medzhybizh". It is for this complex and long-term work Gumenchuk Alexander was awarded the honorary title "Honored artist of Ukraine". The author's technique in which the artist works is a synthesis of terrain, color and collage. "Land marks" – the second personal exhibition of Alexander Gumenjuk in the art Museum in our city.There are 12 paintings and 2 of the spatial composition. The work is supplemented by signs, symbols, and elements of ancient ornaments. And all in the name of the artist acquired his distinctive sound and, most importantly, encouraged the viewer to active thinking. Thus, each of the presented works and installations by the artist fills the subjective meaning and philosophy, in tune with their own worldview, despite this, it does not limit the viewer's perception and invites each of us to personally feel the "Signs of Land".
