10 years will be imprisoned for resident only for the smuggling of precursors
Evidence collected during investigation by the security service for the procedural management of Prosecutor's office of Rivne region, the court found sufficient for conviction of 26-year-old resident of Kiev for crimes related to illicit trafficking of precursors. It is proved that the man illegally acquired, kept with intent to sell and was trying to move from Poland to Ukraine precursors, turnover of which is limited in the state and in respect of the applied control measures. Militiamen detained the malefactor in June 2014 at the time of crossing the state border at the checkpoint "Yagodin" in Volyn customs and confiscated 415 of pseudoephedrine tablets. Their resident hid in a garbage tank of the passenger bus, which was traveling. Examination confirmed the contents of the tablets of pseudoephedrine with a total weight of 38.6 grams and that is especially large size. - In accordance with the verdict of the Rivne city court on 03.02.2016 the position taken by the Prosecutor's office recognized the man guilty of committing criminal offenses under part 3, article 305, part 3 of article 311 of the criminal code of Ukraine (smuggling, illegal purchase, storage and transportation with a sales objective of precursors in especially large size) and he was sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of all property owned, said the public Prosecutor, the public Prosecutor of Department of supervision of observance of laws by bodies of SBU, and state border service of the prosecution Rivne region Andrey Bespalov. It should be noted that the court's sentence into legal force is not yet. The participants in the trial have the right to appeal within the period prescribed by law.
