In Khmelnytsky oblast, the civil defense conducted a joint drill
9 February in the village Tsybulevka that near hydroelectric PP "lighthouse", held joint exercises of civil protection of the city Kam’Kamianets-Podilskyi on the theme: “the Elimination of ice jams and actions during the occurrence of flooding". The purpose of the exercise is to develop the procedure of interaction of local authorities and emergency services during the liquidation of ice jams, the occurrence of floods. On the tactical plan, resulting in a sharp warming ice drift started, which led to the failure of chandernagor paddle at HPP. For this reason, the water level rose above a critical level, which led to the flooding of residential buildings. Rescuers who arrived at the scene rehearsed several ways to rescue people in the water. Also with the help of pumping stations workers in SSES was carried out by pumping water out of homes and adjacent areas. Diving the calculation branch of the salvage rescue detachment of special purpose, in turn, carried out subsea repair work on garamendi construction. Canine calculation of the Ministry of defense of Ukraine conducted search and rescue operations with the help of specially trained dogs. After 30 minutes, the result of concerted action by involved services, emergency situation was controlled. Managed to prevent a further rise in water level. Summing up doctrines, mayor Michael Simashkevich gave a high assessment of the actions of forces and means of civil protection of the city.
