Participation of Lutsk in the forum "Municipalities as responsible leaders"
on Friday, 5 February, Deputy Director of economic policy Department of the Lutsk city Council Sergey Omelchuk took part in the forum "Municipalities as responsible leaders" which was held in Kyiv and gathered representatives of local governments from all regions of Ukraine. More than 50 speakers and 200 municipal representatives discussed the social responsibility of cities and possible ways to make the city responsible leaders. Were awarded the best projects of the municipalities within the Competition "Responsible city", and also signed the Memorandum of creation of a network of responsible cities. Within the session on the role of municipalities in the fight against corruption, the issues of public budgeting, e-procurement and implementation of e-democracy, including electronic petitions. One of the speakers at this session was the Deputy Director of the economic policy Department of the Lutsk city Council Sergey Omelchuk. In the context of participatory budgeting, he presented the participants of the forum "Programme to support initiatives of the residents of the city of Lutsk", which was implemented in 2015. At the same time, during the discussion of implementation of e-procurement in local government and public petitions of the inhabitants, Sergey Omelchuk told about the successes and achievements of Lutsk city Council in these areas.
