Development of trade and economic cooperation between the Ternopil region and the regions of Belarus Paul discussed the meeting with Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus in Ukraine Valentin Velichko. "In the bilateral relations of Ukraine and Belarus have always dominated the good-neighborly and partnership relations both at the level of state structures and between people, - said Ivan Ratbat. - An important direction of Ukrainian-Belarusian relations is inter-regional cooperation. Brest region is a partner of the Ternopil region. Until recently, we have actively collaborated. And would like to continue to keep sincere and good-neighbourly relations and deepen cooperation. Based on the positive experience of our cooperation, we are interested in joint project activities in the framework of the new cross-border cooperation program "Poland-Ukraine-Belarus" for the period 2014-2020 to strengthen cross-border relations and business partnership". The Republic of Belarus attracts local producers, particularly as traditional export markets of lighting fittings and building structures and materials. In this context, significant opportunities exist in OOO "swaps, the Corporation VATRA" and LLC "PPF elektrosvit" lighting for explosive facilities in the petroleum refining industry, as well as in industrial, greenhouse, sports, architectural lighting. Building and wood processing businesses in the region interested in establishing economic cooperation with partners from Belarus, including through the establishment of joint ventures. "We can offer for exports of bricks, blocks of lightweight concrete, carpentry and construction wood. The producers are interested in maintaining and increasing the supplies of agricultural products, including confectionery products and raw materials for their manufacture, meat and products of processing of vegetables". In turn, Valentin Velichko said he was ready to cooperate in the exchange of products. "We will have a programme for delivery broma for road repairs. Also offer delivery of fertilizer. We remind you that in past years the region has supplied in Poland 83% of beef. We would gladly have resumed cooperation", - said Valentin Velichko. The Ambassador also added that supported the idea of establishing joint ventures. Currently in the works for one company - LLC "TECHNOMOL" (Zbarazh, manufacture of metal tanks, reservoirs and containers). As of 1 July 2015, the volume of Belarusian foreign investment was one thousand dollars. Ivan Ratbat also focused on joint projects in the sphere of tourism. In fact on the territory – a large number of castles, attractive natural sites and religious shrines. "In may of this year in our area will hold an International investment forum, which will take place in one of the beautiful places famous Zbarazh castle. we invite You, together with the delegation of the Brest region to take part in the Forum. It would be a good opportunity to discuss practical aspects of the interaction of bilateral cooperation", - said Ivan Ratbat. Deputy Chairman of the regional Council Lubomir Krupa invited the representatives of Belarus to participate in scientific and cultural projects. At the end of the meeting representatives of both countries exchanged souvenir gifts.
