In Lutsk city Council was visited by the participants of the program “Active citizens”
Today in the conference room of the city Council held a meeting with community leaders of the city of Severodonetsk, participating in inter-regional study visit within the program "Active citizens" the British are happy in Ukraine, whose partner is the CDF of the “Youth platform” . In dealing with young people, took part the Deputy of the mayor Sergey Grigorenko, head of the Department of economic development Department of economic policy of the city Council Oksana Karpuk, chair of the CDF “Youth platform” Zakhar Tkachuk. Sergei Grigorenko, welcoming the guests in our city, remarked that if such a friendly meeting between young people occurred twenty years ago, there would be no misunderstanding and military conflict in the East of our state. He spoke about the history of our city, the socio-economic development , focusing on the fact that the Volyn border region has good opportunities for cooperation with European institutions. He elaborated on the Program to support initiatives of the residents of the city of Lutsk in 2015 2017ðîêàõ. The implementation of the Program from the city budget in 2015 was used up UAH 500 thousand. Oksana Karpuk gave more details about the contest for the best civic initiatives in 2015, which receives the 71 projects, 50 of them were allowed to participate in the contest. 12 projects with the highest number of votes, were 90 per cent funded from the city budget, 10% of the total cost of the project is one initiative funded by the citizens. Initiatives to be directed to: the improvement of neighborhoods, streets, recreation areas (installation of surge traffic, container yards, arrangement of places for dog walking and pedestrian paths, landscaping and lighting local area, etc); improvement of the living conditions of people with disabilities and families in difficult life circumstances; leisure activities (conducting of sports events, competitions, concerts, celebrations of anniversaries of homes, neighborhoods, construction of playrooms for children, cultural and artistic events, supporting creative and talented youth); development of Cycling infrastructure (Bicycle Parking facilities, the road markings for Bicycle lanes); improvement of ecological situation in the city (the creation of new green areas, construction of bird feeders and nesting boxes, installation boxes, the construction of garbage collection, maintenance of nature protection areas and river banks); development, conservation and restoration of historical and cultural heritage of the city (identification, repair and restoration of architectural monuments, installation of information tables). After the presentation of the Program to support initiatives of the residents of the city of Lutsk in 2015 2017ðîêàõ Sergey Grigorenko has answered the questions of social activists from Severodonetsk, which related to e-procurement, public hearings, e-petitions, sources of filling the budget of the city of Lutsk similar.
