In Zhytomyr oblast the period of polio vaccination will be extended to 20 February
According to the head of Department of mobilization work and special issues of the Department of health regional state administration Sergey Berezovsky, in connection with the termination of the III round of immunization against poliomyelitis, which started on 25 January 2016 with a pre-defined duration of 2 weeks and its continuation, the Department of public health Ministry of health of Ukraine informed all regional directorates and departments of health of Ukraine, what is the Operational headquarters of the Ministry of health of Ukraine on prevention of circulation actinospore poliovirus from 12 February 2016 the decision on prolongation of the III round of immunization against polio until 20 February 2016. Now in the area 87 281 thousand vaccinated child aged 2 months to 10 years old children (65.0% of the total number of those who are subject to vaccination).
