mayor Alex Kaspruk met in the session hall of the city Hall with the heads of cultural institutions and creative teams to discuss problems and prospects of this sector. "Now we need to start working on a strategy for the development of culture in Chernivtsi, – said Alexei Kaspruk. Our city claims to be the capital of culture in 2024, so to be competitive, you should prepare in advance. The decision to grant this title belongs to European Union, so we are facing great challenges. The status of cultural capital allows one to obtain significant funding from the EU and the government of the country, which means we can build large infrastructure objects. Of course, several times will increase the flow of tourists that also contribute to the development of the economy of the city. Obviously, we should intensify the cultural movement, to show more initiative and creativity. We live in a world where nothing stands still". Alex Kaspruk also met with the head of arts, British Council in Ukraine. During it were discussed the possible participation of Chernivtsi in the project "Creative Europe".
