The representatives of Chisinau and Mannheim discussed the possibilities of cooperation with Chernivtsi
Chernivtsi was visited by a delegation of the twin city of Chisinau (Republic of Moldova) together with representatives of Mannheim (Germany), which supports for the past 25 years of sister city relations with Chisinau. Representatives of these cities consisting of the head of Department of European and international relations of the city Council. Mannheim David Lnse, head of Department of development of the organization and personnel of the city Council. Mannheim Gerhard Mersmann etc., leading specialist of Department of international relations, regional cooperation and European integration of the city Council. Chisinau Diana Gurtenko, Deputy head of the chief Department of education, youth and sports of the city Council. Chisinau Alexandru Vlas arrived in Chernivtsi to forge closer relationships for the implementation of joint projects. Chisinau and Mannheim for a long time successfully implementing projects in various spheres of life of cities, one of which was the improvement of work in the field of snow removal service in Chisinau. For this project the city of Mannheim provided the property snow removal equipment for the proper functioning of the services mentioned above. During the visit a meeting was held with the mayor Alexei Kaspruk, during which were discussed the issues of organization of functioning of a municipal government of Chernivtsi, projects for city financial support of various international organizations, as well as opportunities for future collaborative projects both with Chisinau and Mannheim. In addition, meetings were also held with the leadership of the Department of housing and communal services of the city Council, KP "Chernivtsivodokanal" and KP "Mischa". During the meeting the sides discussed the current situation for utilities, their needs and interest in collaboration for joint projects. At the end of the visit, the representatives of Chisinau and Mannheim have expressed interest in establishing trilateral cooperation in the implementation of possible joint projects for the benefit of the communities of our cities.
