On Hmelnichchiny opened a Point of European information (+photo)
23 March in Khmelnytsky regional library for adults took place the solemn opening of the European information Point. Participating in the ceremony were representatives of the Khmelnytsky regional state administration and Khmelnytsky city Council, political parties, students, employees of regional library for adults. Congratulated the project participants and library staff the head of Department of economy and international cooperation of the Khmelnytsky regional state administration Vladimir Ivankov, Advisor – consultant of the mayor Lyudmila Shevchenko, head of the Vinnytsia regional organization of "people's lawyer" - Elena Cherny. During the celebrations, those present viewed a presentation prepared by employees of regional library and video journey through the countries of the European Union. Zavodske district library for adults became the winner in the project of the Ukrainian Library Association "All about Europe: read, listen, learn in the European information points in libraries" supported by the European Union (program "Erasmus +"). This competition was attended by 163 libraries from all regions of Ukraine. The jury was selected by 83 libraries, which in 2016 will create a Point of European information (Item A). Only 4 libraries from Vinnytsia region won, including Zavodske regional library for adults. Now, in the framework of the Project the library has received some literature about Europe and the e-book. District library had a unique opportunity to participate in the implementation of educational, informational, educational and promotional activities aimed at promoting European values. On the subscription for the youth library created "point for the European integration", in which all stakeholders (pupils, students, teachers, businessmen, unemployed), to all residents and guests of Khmelnitsky region will be granted access to information resources and electronic databases on the functioning of the European Union institutions and other European organizations, the economy, learning opportunities, participation in scientific, youth and other EU programmes. It is important that 10 the Internet center of the Khmelnitsky region is also planned to create a European information Points.
