In Ukraine launched a nationwide month of the red cross
1 To 30 April will take place the traditional all-Ukrainian month's campaign of the red cross Society of Ukraine. The month is aimed at improving living conditions and social protection for vulnerable categories – IDPs, disabled and lonely elderly people, veterans of war and labor, disabled, large and incomplete families, children-orphans, people living with HIV / AIDS or tuberculosis. During the April regional, city and district organizations of the red cross Society are willing to accept the transfer of funds, food, clothes, shoes, household items, medication, things for internally displaced persons and the sick, especially those unable to move independently, school supplies, toys; providing free transport, household, legal and other services to the ward organizations of the red cross Society of Ukraine, improvement of buildings and surrounding areas lonely senior citizens and other categories of the population. Funds and in-kind support received by the organizations of the Society during the month will help to provide direct financial and in-kind assistance to poor people, orphanages and boarding schools for adults and children, as well as to expand and strengthen the network of visiting nurses of mercy of the red cross. In addition, it will help to replenish the warehouses contingency reserve all necessary resources for providing aid to citizens in emergency situations of technogenic, natural or domestic nature, including to strengthen the material basis for efficient and effective operation of rapid response units. Also to equip the centers, classrooms and rooms for teaching people skills of first aid to victims in emergency situations, and more. I appeal to you, dear countrymen, to all who care about human pain and grief, with a call for concrete and effective relief to those who are close to us and whom social conditions, a lonely old age and injury made it impossible to live in dignity.
