Citizens are encouraged to join the development open data city
mayor Alex Kaspruk encourages interested members of the public and business environment research to contribute to the development and use of open data in Chernivtsi. In particular, the primary objective is the identification of priority areas of information that will be provided to the community in the open data format. The development of open data will promote openness and transparency of the city Council, developing good management decisions, the creation of it products useful to the citizens and business – believe mayor Alex Kaspruk and social activists. Public information as open data (open data) is published for free and grant access to it. Open data allowed for further free use and distribution. Any person may freely copy, publish, distribute, use, including for commercial purposes, in combination with other information or by including in the composition of its own product open data with obligatory reference to the source receiving them. For formation of a base of open data in city Council will be conducted assessment and inventory of sets of information data to determine their status, structure, frequency of update, passport generation of the data set, determine the most convenient format for their publication. Public discussion with participation of representatives of public sector, business, it environment and scientists to develop and agree a plan of action for open data of the city of Chernivtsi, the identification of priority datasets and possible ways of using them to create useful applications, tools for the community will take place on 19 April in the town Hall .
