Volynska oblast: rescuers together with forestry specialists have successfully worked out the main ways of elimination of large fires in ecosystems
28 April in the Manevychi district, Volyn region held special tactical exercises of rescue teams and forestry workers for the elimination of large fires in ecosystems. The joint training consisted of a theoretical part and practical trainings. Theory session with representatives of all the rescue departments and forest farms of the region was held by the representatives of the training center and staff management DSNS on the basis of Manevychi forestry. They outlined the key points of preventive measures to prevent fires in ecosystems in Volhynia, recalled the methods of fighting forest fires depending on their type. The next stage of lessons-practical training of basic techniques of fire suppression in forests – happened in a wooded area near the village of Karasin Manevychi district. In the trainings participated basic technique of fire and rescue units and special vehicles forest fire protection, as well as a tractor with a plow to create fire-breaks and isolation of heat sources in the woods. On a tactical plan of doctrines, the result of careless handling of fire unknown persons who had a rest in a forest fire. Another Manevychi forestry with the help of a television monitoring system spotted smoke in the forest. For the exploration of the situation and extinguish possible ignition of the forest there now went mobile group forestry. Despite gusty winds and a threat of rapid spread of fire and heavy smoke areas of coniferous plantations. With knapsack fire extinguishers, mobile patrol group of forestry has begun the taming of the simulated fire, but the fire spread over a large territory, so soon on the location of the simulated disaster's fire brigade forestry. Fire territory foresters disassociate themselves with a tractor and filed for fire suppression fire guns from the special fire equipment. However, for the curbing of conventional fire equipment brought was not enough and the flame’I continued to cover new territory. At SV’regard on the scene of the fire staff has been created and called to assist fire and rescue units. After a few minutes to the place of disaster began to arrive, the vehicles of the state fire and rescue parts. Crews received a task from the head of suppression of forest fire and began to deploy. Simultaneously with quadcopter “Phantom 2 vision” has carried out aerial reconnaissance of a conditional fire. And firefighters to tame the fire used lafene stationary barrel mounted on the fire truck and portable fire monitors “Protek”, which allow you to apply a compact jet of water and spray to create a water curtain. After working faithfully all ways of fighting, the exercise participants reported on the taming of the simulated fire. Summing up the results of the exercise, the chief of UDSNS region Vladimir Groshong noted that the elimination of forest fires requires many human resources and material costs, therefore, for conservation and nature, and the welfare of citizens is extremely important preventive measures of fire and high culture of the inhabitants of the region.
