Has become a tradition to hold in Zhytomyr military Institute named after S. P. Korolev of the sports contest of school students of the city of Zhitomir on the world day of aviation and cosmonautics. This year it was held on 28 may 2016. The aim of the event is to develop in children the ideological and moral qualities of the personality, education of patriotism, personal responsibility for the defense of the Fatherland, willingness to sacrifice for the sake of the homeland, as well as maintaining a positive image of military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, strengthening the ideological component in the General system of education of the younger generation, increase the prestige and standing of the profession of defender of the Fatherland. All participants of competitions were congratulated by the Deputy of the Department of family, youth and sports of the Zhytomyr regional state administration Svetlana GRES, head of the city Department of sports Department of family, youth and sport Viktor Malyuta and the head of the Zhytomyr military Institute named after S. P. Korolev, major-General Yuri Danik. The Olympics participants had the opportunity to show their level of training and physical endurance in nine sports competitions. On this day, students of schools of the city of Zhitomir were able to make sure to protect the homeland need hard work and special skills that can be obtained in Zhytomyr military Institute.
