In the Rivne region rescuers have perfected their skills to work in a smoky environment
During firefighting repeatedly there are situations when the employees of gschs have to work in areas with high temperature or in the basement with a complex layout. Under these conditions firefighters when extinguishing fires, the rescue and evacuation of people, material values for a long time in unsuitable for breathing environment. For effective work in such conditions in the departments fire and rescue service act link of gas and smoke protective service. Thanks to their work only in the course of this year in the Rivne region have already been eliminated 47 fires in which the smoke rescued from the trap 3 citizens and successfully evacuated 21 people. To continuously maintain the high level of professional readiness, with the officers of the DSNs in Rivne region on a quarterly basis, the practical lessons are with gas and smoke protective service in unsuitable for breathing environment. Another such exercise took place on may 5 at the sports complex of the regional Department of the state service for emergency situations. During the course the rescuers have improved their skills in finding and releasing “conditional” the victim in the smoke filled mazes, teplogeneratory, demonstrated speed and agility in possession of special equipment. Also, during training, we tested knowledge of employees of GU gschs regarding the operational check of the devices, calculation of the air conducting radio, structure and tactical-technical characteristics of the device.
