In Zhytomyr region, Berdychiv to 90-year-old veteran of the UPA called for participants of the ATO.
Combatant Shevchuk Vladimir Kirillovich, call sign "Cap", who lives in Berdychiv, is a member of the national liberation struggle in the ranks of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army. This year the Day of memory and reconciliation to 90-year-old "Caps" were granted by the ATO soldiers who are now defending the Ukrainian land in the East of our country: the legendary cyborg from 95th brigade, Vasily Club, captain APU Nikolai Nikolaev, volunteer first wave of mobilization of the 30 brigade Alexander Gorodetsky and trooper Oles Kostyuk. Also a veteran of the UPA came from the Berdichev branch of all-Ukrainian Union "Svoboda" and Berdychiv city Council. The meeting of two generations of defenders of Ukraine Vladimir Kirillovich was awarded a Commendation from the Zhytomyr oblast state administration, and flowers from Berdychiv city hall. From may 1943 to 12 April 1944 Vladimir Shevchuk was in the group of "Aeneas" with a hundred "Saluka" platoon "Poplar" in the hut "crook" and "Nettle" in Volhynia and participated in the battles with German invaders.
