13 may, Vinnytsia oblast with an official visit was visited by the extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of India in Ukraine Mr. Manoj Kumar Bharti Anamay with his wife Bharti. To discuss promising areas of cooperation the diplomat met with the Chairman of the regional state administration Valery Corum, Chairman of regional Council Anatoly Oleynik and Vinnytsia city mayor Sergiy Morgunov. Welcoming the honourable guests in the Vinnytsia region, the head of the RSA Valeriy Cow noted that the Ukrainian government is changing rapidly, and not only in matters of security or defense: the situation being experienced by Ukraine, forms are also internal forces of the Ukrainian society. "In the state there are big changes in terms of decentralization of power. The most successful reform of fiscal decentralization, which resulted in the budgets of the basic level over the last two years has increased in 2-3 times, - said Valery Cow. - Despite all the difficulties, we acknowledge that step by step the Ukrainian economy is on the rise. The first results of macroeconomic stabilization, overcome the financial crisis gradually produced effects. We see this in activity in the business sector: both industrial and agricultural. For example, the processing industry, without the energy and mining sector, in Vinnytsia region this year +11 % compared to last year." The Chairman of regional state administration noted the championship of Vinnytsia region in the national ranking on indicators of development of agriculture. But at the same time stressed that from September 2015, the export volumes of Vinnytsia region India occupies the first position, pushing of the leaders of the Russian Federation. Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India in Ukraine Mr. Manoj Kumar Bharti, in turn, noted that this year marks 25 years since the beginning of diplomatic relations between India and Ukraine, and during this period between the States was signed a number of deals in all areas of cooperation. Now, the conviction of the diplomat, it's time to deepen that cooperation, because India for Ukraine is one of the largest foreign partners. In confirmation of his words, the Ambassador led a private performance. "In 2012-2014, India is among the three largest countries-partners of Ukraine, the bilateral trade amounted to 3.3 billion dollars. In 2014-2015 due to the difficult situation in Ukraine, the trade turnover fell to 1.8 billion dollars. Of this amount, $ 1.4 billion was Ukraine's exports to India. At the same time, the total number trade of Ukraine with other countries is $ 1 billion," said Manoj Kumar Bharti. Therefore stressed that India has a huge potential for investments in Ukrainian economy, even in these hard times for the state times. Touching upon the perspectives of cooperation in the sphere of agrarian business, the Ambassador stressed that India needs to import pulses. "Half a million people in India consuming different types of beans twice a day. All with whom I communicate on this theme in Ukraine, encouraged to produce and export to India what it consumes. And I am ready to invite a delegation of entrepreneurs of the region in India to show what are the channels of imports, which types of legumes she needs," - said the diplomat. At the same time, it is suggested to consider the possibility of import to India and dairy products, in particular cheese and sour cream. The meeting participants also discussed prospects of cooperation in the educational sphere, especially in the issue of increasing the number of students from India, who get education at Vinnitsa national medical University. Also extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador informed about the availability of Ukrainian scientists scholarships provided by the Government of India in 66 different industries. Finally, the participants agreed to hold in Vinnytsia Day culture of India. And, as assured by the Vinnytsia city Chairman Sergey Morgunov, in the coming days representatives of the city Council make contact with the Embassy for coordination of organizational issues.
