Over 40 kg of amber and a special tool for its production seized by the prosecutors and the police in the Rivne region
the office of public Prosecutor together with other law enforcement agencies continues counteraction to illegal operations with amber on the territory of Rivne region. In particular, the result of the joint activities of employees of bodies of Prosecutor's office of Rivne region and the operational headquarters of the police in combating illegal mining of amber raw seized in the territory of warehouses of private enterprise in Sarny about 31 kg "Sunny" stone, 1 the presence of handicraft production, 9 fire hoses and other devices adapted for illegal production of amber. Also, according to the results of the 17.05.2016 investigative actions in Zdolbuniv prosecutors and police seized 11 kg of raw amber of various fractions from the inhabitant of Poltava region, who tried to carry the "sun stones" in the car. On these facts initiated pre-trial investigation on the grounds of criminal offense under article 198 of the criminal code of Ukraine (acquisition, possession, knowingly obtained by criminal means of the property). The value of seized amber is currently set to expert. Procedural management in criminal proceedings carried out by bodies of Prosecutor's office of Rivne region.
