The region is actively implementing energy saving technology
In 2015, compared to the previous year, increased the level of introduction of energy-saving light sources in outdoor lighting in settlements to the total number of luminaires from 11.5% to 18% (17 place in Ukraine 27.4 per cent). This was announced by Director of economic development and trade of the regional state administration Galina Volanic during a meeting of the Board of regional state administration. The share of thermal energy produced in the region of alternative fuels or renewable energy sources for 2015 amounted to 1.6 percent of the total volume of thermal energy produced in the region (15 a place for Ukraine to 4.8%). "Among districts, the lowest specified rate in Podgaetskii – 43,2% (17th place), Kremenets – 71,4% (16th place), Zbaraz – 77,9% (15th place), Podvolochisk – 79,0 (14th place), Ternopil and 91.4% (13) districts," stated Galina Volanic.
