Hosted the XI international competitions race walking “Lutsk ten”
In Lutsk hosted the XI international competitions race walking “Lutsk ten”. This event is held annually in the framework of the Allukrainian Olympic day. The international Olympic Committee in 1948 decided during the 42nd session of the International Olympic Committee in St Moritz annually to celebrate international Olympic day on June 23. Participation in SNG the competition attracted more than 50 participants from 7 regions of Ukraine. Also, participants of the competition were two athletes from the Republic of Belarus. On celebrations on the occasion of the opening of the competition came first Deputy mayor Taras Yakovlev, zastupnik Chairman of the regional Council Roman Karpyuk, head of the Department of physical culture and sports Yuriy Volynets, Deputy of city Council Andrey Avramenko. Taras Yakovlev congratulated all with Day of youth, which, by the way, mark wished all athletes good competition and high wins. He noted that these competitions have already become a good tradition for luck. Their main goal is to promote sports and physical culture among young people. Yuri Volynets join all these words of greeting, wished the athletes good starts and good finishes, and plenty of personal achievements to all the athletes and future olympican. After the opening ceremony the participants went to the start. Athletes competed in the following age groups: men and women, Junior men and Junior women. Men, women and juniors overcame a distance length of 10 kilometers, and Junior women – 5 kilometers. Among women in competitions on sports walking won volynianka Hope Bohr. She covered the distance in 44 minutes, 8 seconds. The victory among men in Lutsk ten” was won by the representative of the Donetsk region, Ruslan Dmytrenko with a score of 41 minutes, 3 seconds. Juniors was won by Victoria Pilea of Ivano — Frankivsk region, and among juniors became the best representative of Volyn Victor Sumik.
