The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine encourages the rehabilitation of children from the region abroad
the Second consecutive year in Ternopil region implemented a humanitarian project in which the children of servicemen-participants of the antiterrorist operation in the East of Ukraine spend their summer holidays abroad. Active assistance is provided by the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine. In particular, at the initiative of the Chairman of the Ternopil regional state administration Stepan Barns in cooperation with foreign partners of the region in 2015-2016, more than 200 children whose parents are participants in ATO, had the opportunity to see the culture and traditions of other countries. Among them 90 children spent time in the Republic of Croatia. A significant contribution to the implementation of these trips carried out by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Croatia. Thanks to the diplomatic skills of the Ambassador Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in the Republic of Croatia Oleksandr Levchenko and fruitful cooperation with the Croatian party, the organization of meaningful recreation for children in Ternopil region it is possible to provide at a high level. During the last trip, a group of 45 children of servicemen-participants of the ATO from 19 to 29 June 2016 visited the town of Stari grad on the Hvar island of Croatia. Financial support was provided by Brodsko-Posavska County of the Republic of Croatia. Cultural program excursions, in one of them, the children visited Zagreb, where he laid wreaths at the monument to Taras Shevchenko on Ukrainian streets during the celebrations on the occasion of the celebration of the Constitution Day of Ukraine. Also in the city of Slavonski Brod, the young residents of the region participate in the opening of the exhibition "Donbas: war and peace" and presented a concert program together with the local Ukrainian community. Ternopil region and hoped for further support of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine in the implementation of humanitarian projects.
