Lutsk: the “Princely feast” has begun!
On the square near the old castle Lubart began the festival of medieval spirit “Princely feast”. At the beginning of the action “Grand Duke Vytautas”, participants and spectators held a solemn procession from square brotherly bridge to Castle square, where the Prince Vytautas and modern mayor of the ancient Lucescu — city mayor Mykola Romaniuk said of the speech. Mykola Romaniuk congratulated all the holiday. “ we welcome visitors to the city, just as in the XV century welcomed at the Congress of European monarchs. Now we can think back to those ancient times and feel the then atmosphere. I am grateful to the guests, delegations, arrived on the birthday of our city, the organizers of the festival. I wish in the first place, there was peace in our land, and the weapons we saw only in historical reconstructions”, he said. Later, in the framework of the action, a Memorandum was signed between the thumb Luceska and the Principality of Kiev, the text of which was read in the language of the time. Also Mykola Romaniuk presented the letter for the promotion of history and preservation of cultural heritage of Ukraine. Before the main stage of the festival held a demonstration fighting knights the best warriors, and Duke Vytautas dedicated Prince with a sword wanting Lucian to the inhabitants of the ancient castle with the assignment of the title of Prince. The festival program is very interesting and rich, during the day, will be held tournaments, various workshops, tetrazona and musical performances, srednjaci and fun games, sports competitions, quests. Also declared competition on the best medieval costume, the winner will be announced at the evening program of the festival.
