August 22, through Zhitomir passed the veterans ' bike ride devoted to Day of independence of Ukraine. The rally started on August 16 from Uzhgorod, Transcarpathian region and is scheduled to end on August 24 in Kiev. At the entrance to Zhitomir guests met athletes-cyclists. Together with the Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Yaroslav Laguta the race participants laid flowers to the memorial to fallen soldiers-internationalists "Black Tulip", then at the military cemetery gave the tribute to the soldiers who died in the ATO zone.
