in Front of the premises of the city Council held a solemn ceremony of raising the national Flag of Ukraine. With a salutatory word to participants addressed the city mayor Mykola Romaniuk. He said: “Dear citizens and guests of our city! The day of State Flag of Ukraine we traditionally celebrate on the eve of Independence Day. Because the national flag is one of the most important symbols of statehood and unity of the nation. We are the representatives of a great nation with a millennial history. Freedom-loving, good, generous, hardworking and courageous. Now, when our brave soldiers defend the Ukrainian land, fighting the Russian aggressor for the integrity and independence of the state, the State Flag Day takes on special significance. On this day we remember not only the fighters for independence of Ukraine of past centuries, but those who died in recent years – Heavenly Hundred, Heroes, who never returned from the ATO. Eternal memory to them. The national flag became for Ukrainian nation a symbolic talisman that fills the heart with a sense of patriotism, love of country and pride of its people”. “Let the blue-yellow flag and further instills in the hearts of Ukrainian pride and motivates new feats for the sake of his country, for the sake of Ukraine's future. I wish all of us enduring faith in our victory, good health, prosperity, and most importantly – a peaceful sky over Ukraine. Glory To Ukraine!,”- said Mykola Romaniuk. The ceremony was attended by first Deputy mayor Taras Yakovlev, Secretary of the city Council Julia Vasenko, Deputy mayor, managing the Affairs of the Executive Committee Yuri Verbic, Deputy mayor Andrew Kish, Yuri Mollica, Sergei Grigorenko, the deputies and employees of city Council, representatives of public organizations, citizens.
