Presentation of the concept of development of the Central Park of culture and rest named after Lesya Ukrainka
Deputy of the mayor Yury Molica told how we will see the Central city Park in the near future. The debate was joined by the MP of Ukraine Ihor Lapin, members of the city Council Igor Polishchuk, Nikolai Gender, Natalia Bunda, Alla Nadtochiy, Boris smal, members of the public. Yuri Molica said that the concept began to be developed in the beginning of the year and at this stage of the preparatory documents 90 per cent completed. “We work openly, the discussion involved the public, information was available for all,” said Yuri Mollica. The Park covers an area of 75 hectares, and thus for practical use it will be divided into sectors, each of which will perform its functions. An example for the development of recreation areas became the Polish city of Rzeszow. The Park should remain as is, but improved. The emphasis will be on green spaces, trees to be saved will be saved. The fact that the Park is a swampy area creates some problems, but the channels can be cleaned and expanded, that will “trick” that will distinguish the Park from other. Yuri Mollica believes that there should be established the administration of the Park to each of the sectors was assigned to someone. The main area will be landscape (area for walking) that will take about 60% of the territory, it will include a number of sectors: area cultural events; attractions; arts area will have two functions — the permanent exposition and space for temporary events — workshops, presentations; the list is a place for the presentation of medieval knightly culture, where they will be themed festivals. A significant part will take also a sports area where there will be a set of sites for the most common types of sport — football, basketball, handball, volleyball, Playground for extreme cyclists and the like. Yuri Molica noted that according to surveys the racetrack, in such form as it is not interesting for Lucian, therefore it could be used more appropriately. Sector Park of entertainments — the basic idea of which are the entertainment that you can make to the natural landscape, such as mini-Golf. Will operate a children's area that will be improved. There are also plans to equip a full beach, there is a demand for so-called “picnic area”. Representatives from the charity project Sponsors for a soldier” received a proposal to create a Patriotic and educational Playground in the Park. Stage, near the main entrance to the Park will be demolished, because it will be restored and launched the rotunda. As for the vehicles will be equipped with three Parking lots, and Park cars to enter will not, with the exception of vehicles of public utilities and entrepreneurs who will be there for certain services. Yuri Mollica reported that a competition for artists, designers, all lamps, benches, urns, etc was in the same style.
