Residents of Ternopil and guests of our region have honored the 100th anniversary of one of the most legendary battle of the Ukrainian Sich Riflemen. In particular, participants watched a playback of one of the episodes of battles and participants of club of historical reconstruction. The priests sent a prayer for the fallen heroes. We will remind, in August-September 1916 the regiment of Ukrainian Sich Riflemen and the Austro-Hungarian military units of the Russian army inflicted a crushing loss and stopped so offensive in Berezhany. Then perished 1300 young patriots, the oldest of whom was 20 years old. Locals call Lisoni a place of pilgrimage of Ukrainian patriots virtually the entire Galician region. One hundred years have passed since those times, but in our hearts remains a bright memory of the heroism of the young Ukrainians who fought for their country.
