Foreign Ministry recommends Ukrainian citizens to refrain from visiting the Russian Federation
Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine is deeply concerned about the increasing number of provocations by Russian power structures against the citizens of Ukraine. On the territory of the aggressor state has increased the number of unjustified detentions of our citizens. Russian authorities behave rudely with the Ukrainians, apply illegal methods of physical and psychological effects, torture and other acts degrading human dignity. Citizens of Ukraine are denied access to him, consuls, lawyers. These actions of the Russian side grossly violated the universal norms of international law in the sphere of observance of the rights and freedoms of the individual, as well as its international legal obligations under the Vienna Convention on consular relations of 1963 and the Consular Convention between Ukraine and the Russian Federation from 1994.
