In Lutsk held a number of events on the occasion of the Day of defender of Ukraine
for the purpose of honoring the courage and heroism of defenders of independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, military traditions and victories of the Ukrainian people, city mayor Mykola Romaniuk signed a decree “On the celebration of the day of defender of Ukraine.” In particular, we will be holding events: October 13, at 18.00. - art project "We go forward" with the participation of the choir "trembita" (Lviv) at the Palace of culture in Lutsk city. On Friday, October 14: 08.30 — solemn Liturgy at the Holy Trinity Cathedral; 11.30 — ATO members, volunteers, veterans of the OUN — UPA, representatives of local and regional authorities, and all concerned citizens to travel to the city cemetery in the village of Harazdzha. Vehicles will be served on the Theatre Maidan; 12: 00 noon memorial service at the city cemetery in the village of Harazdzha and laying flowers on the graves of fallen soldiers on the Alley of honorary burial; 13.30 - opening of the photo exhibition "Faces of the heroes of the anti-terrorist operation" in the premises of the Palace of culture of the city of Lutsk; 14.00 - opening of the memorial stands to the fallen in the ATO Volyn at Theater square; 14.30 - solemn dedication of the students of Volyn regional Lyceum with intensive military and physical training at Theater square; 16.00 - public procession from Theatre square to the memorial complex "Eternal Glory", devoted to Day of defender of Ukraine; 16.30 - the ceremony of consecration of the stone at the construction site of the Volyn monument to the Heroes of the ATO. 12.00 - 22.00 - festival "Steel heart" at the Castle square. In addition, in secondary schools and the cultural institutions of the city will be thematic, cultural, artistic, educational activities, educational hours devoted to the Day of defender of Ukraine, and meetings with veterans of the OUN-UPA and the soldiers of the ATO.
