More than 600 violations of traffic regulations on dangerous sections of road recorded in the Zhytomyr region in an hour and a half of work special equipment. Commit crimes with a view to further reducing their number is part of a pilot project on road safety, the implementation of which is carried out by a consortium led by Egis group. On 10 October, has started the next phase of the project – on the road M-21 near village of Central square and on the street. Gum in Zhitomir tested the new equipment, which records the speed of vehicles and violations by drivers of traffic regulations. — "These sites are dangerous. At the end of this phase of the project road services will be provided with suggestions how to reduce the number of accidents on them," says Roman, Krisuk, head of industry, infrastructure development and tourism of Zhytomyr regional state administration. Director of "AxxonSoft" Alexander Kurennoy, one of the organizers of the project, said that the purpose of these activities is, above all, security of life and health of drivers and pedestrians. Need to calculate statistics of traffic violations to ensure that in future the number of victims and the mortality rate was lower. "Zhytomyr is the first city in which such measurements occur. And mutual support of the regional state administration, city Council and police Department this project will give the opportunity to make the city safer and more comfortable for residents," – said Alexander Kurennoy. The results of the analysis of these data will be carried out a broad awareness-raising campaign. According to Roman Kisuke, the information campaign will consist of broadcast relevant videos on TV region that will show, as speeding will affect the traffic safety and drivers and pedestrians. Also in the area of planned placement of billboards and citylights, which psychologically must affect the consciousness of drivers.
