More than a third of the sugar in Ukraine will be produced in Vinnytsia oblast
These forecasts announced Chairman of the regional state administration Valery Cow. "Given the positive dynamics of growth of sugar production in Vinnytsia region, the increase of the crop under sugar beet and favorable weather conditions, we this year will have in the sugar industry a positive trend", - said the head of RSA. According to him, during the last two years due to the strict limitations the possibility of any administrative influence on the sugar factories managed to stabilize the situation in this area, and agricultural producers began to take raw materials to those plants that to them are calculated. "no there is no debt, and this was the formation of a large stimulus for sowing sugar beet. This year, the total area of beet in Vinnytsia region grew by 10 %, that's almost 55 thousand hectares, yield 500 kilograms per hectare. And there are farms that harvest and 600 and 700-800 quintals per hectare, - said Valery Cow. - Radically changed the structure of sugar beet production came modern technology. And we are in the current year expected gross production of sugar beet in the range of 420 thousand tons. More than a third of all sugar production in Ukraine".
