Chernigov: Information on the grant competition for regional media
the Permanent grant competition "mass media for Pro-European changes in Ukraine" from IEI and the European truth To support the implementation of the Association Agreement, a significant strengthening of the role of civil society in the promotion of Pro-European reforms the Institute of economic researches and political consultations and European Union announced a permanent grant competition "mass media for Pro-European changes in Ukraine". The competition is held in the framework of the project "Promotion of reforms in the regions" which is funded by the European Union within the program "Support to civil society in Ukraine". The purpose of the contest - creation and development of regional media for coverage of issues related to relations between Ukraine and the European Union, the introduction of SA, other commitments of Ukraine to the EU, to inform the society about the essence of European integration and European values and to promote reform in the regional dimension, for leading regional media financial ability for continuous illumination the European theme, promoting public discussion and raising public awareness on topics related to the EU at local, regional and interregional levels. To participate in the competition are invited to the media that: - officially registered in Ukraine; - have at least year, preferably three years experience; - have experience of publications on the subject of the proposed project; - have a constant audience of one or several regions of Ukraine (except Kyiv); - have the ability to implement grant projects and reporting (including financial reporting). In the competition can participate in the regional media of all types: Internet, print and electronic media (radio and television), converged media that combines several types. The maximum grant size is 375 thousand hryvnia (the optimal budget of the project: 200 thousand - 300 thousand hryvnia, depending on the type of media, less funding will give the winners an additional opportunity to apply for the extension of the project). The maximum project duration is 1 year, but in any case, the project should be completed up to 31.03.2019. The winners of the competition during the execution of the grant agreement have the right to submit a new grant proposal that will provide persistence or expansion of a project that runs. The deadline for submitting projects is September 30, 2018. The deadline for the submission of grant applications for consideration at the meeting of the Grant Commission - November 14, 2016. Annexes to the project proposal must be attached in the format .doc .xls or .pdf. The maximum size of each of the annexes to the project proposal may not exceed 2.5 Mb. Submitted to the contest materials are not reviewed. About results of consideration of each project proposal will be notified by e-mail. The decision to grant support or reject an application is taken collectively Grant the Commission, which invited specialists on issues of European integration and the media. Grant the Commission reserves the right to provide the applicant with requirements to finalize the grant application. The final decision on the grant application is not appealable. The reasons for the refusal to support grant applications are not reported.
