According to preliminary data of the General statistics office in Vinnytsia region as of November 1, 2016 in all categories of farms of the region were cattle 311,8 thousand heads. Cows by 158.8 thousand heads, pigs – 357,4 thousand heads, sheep and goats – 44,6 thousand heads, poultry – more than 29 million head. In comparison with the previous year increased the number of cattle by 1.2%, sheep and goats – by 5.0%, but decreased the number of cows was 1.3%, pigs – by 3.6%, poultry – by 0.9%. In January–October 2016 the region's farms sold livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight 369,1 thousand tons, more than the previous year by 4.0%, milk – 734,9 million tons (more than 2.0%) and eggs 742,3 million pieces (more than 0.4%).
