Sergey Nadal: "the snow disaster has become an important lesson for all city services"
Operational meeting on elimination of consequences of an abnormal snowfall, chaired by mayor Sergei gave took place on 22 November in the city Council. Present at the meeting, the heads of offices and housing offices reported about the stages of liquidation of consequences of snowfall in the city and has developed priority actions that need to be to avoid snow blockade of the city in the future. During the meeting the head of housing and utilities Nikolay Lesiv has filed a resignation. “Communal structures were not ready for this amount of snow, snow storm failed or machinery, no people, therefore not taking responsibility I apologize in front of them», - said Mykola Lesiv. The mayor of Ternopol Sergey Nadal said that the snow disaster on 13-14 November, was for all city services an important lesson, from which conclusions are made and taken tough decisions. The main reason why the Ternopil has not coped with cleaning up the city, failure of the contractor properly to perform its contractual obligations’bundles. And that is what the company will bear all the losses, floor’connected with snowfall in Ternopil. As reported to the head of Department of technical supervision Oleg Vityk, today a contractor exposed to claims due to negodnik units, which they declared in the specification - 450 thousand and 1 million 590 thousand for not the services provided that they complied with the Contracting Agency. During the meeting, the mayor instructed to prepare a complete list of the enterprises of Ternopil, which have the machinery to draw it if necessary, and to work out algorithms of actions of all services and residents in cases of abnormal repetition of snowfall. In addition, contracts for winter cleaning of the city will conclude with several contractors, according to share and cleaning of the city.
