Family doctors from the Netherlands teach their colleagues from Zhytomyr
On the basis of the Central children's city hospital of Zhytomyr (KU TSDML) the President of the Association of family doctors Zhytomyr region Victoria Ivchuk, chief doctor Vladimir Head met with Henk van Sotherton (Henk van Schothorst) is a member of the Association of family doctors of the Netherlands, who heads the Foundation for the exchange of experience between physicians of our country, "Foundation Sharing Knowledge N-U". Dutch doctors on a voluntary basis is already not the first year cooperate with doctors Zhytomyr. In particular, a year ago, there was a cycle of courses for improving the work of doctors-pediatricians KU TSDML where Henk van Schothorst held classes in anatomy and physiology of the ear, diagnosis and treatment of otitis media. Family doctors in Zhytomyr region was interested in the format of training, so it was determined the subject and formed a plan for further learning. So, by prior arrangement, prepared the course "diabetes in the practice of family doctor" for 4 districts. Trainings took place in Korostyshev, Berdychiv, Novohrad-Volynskyi and Olevsk PHC centers. In Olevsk district was additionally carried out training on "Diagnosis of ear problems using an Otoscope" in which a Fund for the exchange of experience between physicians of our country, "Foundation Sharing Knowledge N-U" was presented Otoscope. In General, during the training, we trained 84 family doctor, including pediatricians Zhytomyr region, who were involved in the pilot project. With the assistance of health Department of Zhytomyr regional state administration, Association of family doctors of Zhytomyr oblast and Fund doctors of the Netherlands "Sharing Knowledge Foundation N-U" at the end of the training the participants received certificates. The Association is planning to further roll-out of cluster training on the problems of diabetes in other areas of Zhytomyr region. In April-may of 2017 during the next visit of the Dutch will be monitoring training among family doctors on the problem of diabetes and continue learning from other themes that were suggested for further cooperation. The meeting participants also discussed some issues of adaptation of the leading European medical practices of the industry to the domestic health-care model. In particular, they talked about the system of licensing of doctors, where the leading place belongs to improve their skills.
