November 25, on the eve of Day of memory of victims of Holodomor, which is traditionally celebrated on the fourth Saturday of November, in the premises of the regional state administration held a presentation of Honorary diplomas of the regional state administration and regional Council with the payment of remuneration, gifts and flowers to the participants of the Holodomor in Ukraine and researchers working on the study and collection of materials about the famine in the diocese of Vinnytsia. The event was attended by first Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Andriy Gyzhko, first Deputy Chairman of the regional Council Lyudmila shcherbakovskaya, Deputy mayor Galina Yakubovich, the award, members of public organizations of the region, representatives of the media. "A great achievement of Independent Ukraine is the fact that the Holodomor of 1932-1933 is recognized as genocide of the Ukrainian nation. It was not only the physical destruction of our people, but also its culture, customs and traditions, way of life," said Andrew Gyzhko in his speech. "We must do everything possible to ensure that such events never happen again in our history." The event was held in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine", Decree of President of Ukraine from 1 November 2016 number 480/2016 "On measures in connection with the Day of memory of famine victims" and orders of the Chairman of regional state administration from 14 Nov 2016 No. 858 "On the celebration in Vinnytsia oblast of the day of memory of famine victims". In the lobby of the regional state administration hosted a thematic exhibition of the regional Museum devoted to Day of memory of victims of Holodomor in Ukraine "people of the truth.
