In Chernihiv honored participants of liquidation of consequences of accident on ChNPP
14 December, on the occasion of the Day honoring the participants of liquidation of consequences of Chernobyl accident of the regional state administration was held a meeting of heads of regions and cities with representatives of public organizations of Chernobyl veterans, participants of liquidation of consequences of Chernobyl accident. The Deputy Chairman of Chernihiv regional state administration Sergey Sergienko, Deputy Chairman of the regional Council Arsen Didur and the Deputy of Chernihiv mayor Sergey Fesenko expressed gratitude to the participants of liquidation of consequences of the Chernobyl disaster. During the event, speakers noted that state authorities and local self-government should intensify attention on providing real assistance to the liquidators of the Chernobyl accident. And it's not just about financial issues but also due to social security and moral support of the whole society. In the Chernihiv oblast Philharmonic center of festivals and concerts hosted events on the occasion of celebration of participants of liquidation of consequences of Chernobyl accident. Movie-art cultural centre and national-Patriotic education of children and youth demonstrated a documentary film about the Chernobyl tragedy. During the day organized viewing of the permanent exhibition in Chernihiv regional historical Museum named Vasily Tarnovsky about the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power station. Yesterday, 13 December, at the Chernigov regional Palace of children and youth held a children's art festival "Saving the world – has saved you."
