"2016 was the beginning of the restructuring of the road sector.,- the official noted.- The reforms undertaken by the government under the leadership of Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman, have launched large-scale works on motorways of all Ukraine. In Vinnytsia region began current medium repairs, significantly increased the volume of work on the operational maintenance of roads. Work has begun on the repair of the road M-21 "Zhytomyr – Mohyliv Podilskyi". In 2016, the renovated 3 phases (for S. Kordelivka, Zhezheliv, Stryzhavka) with a total length of 14.9 km. Completed work on the coverage of the access road to M. Kalynivka in the amount of 2,3 million UAH. work began on the repair of the road Kuna, Kunka (a detour of the city Haisyn). In comparison with the year 2015 in which the current average repair is not provided, this is a huge step forward in the development of the road sector of the region." Work on the operational maintenance of roads has nearly tripled compared to last year. If in 2015 was eliminated 266 070 m2 yamochnost (which is 14% of the whole road network), then in 2016 this figure amounted to 642 670 m2 (equivalent to 23% of the road network area). Due to the decentralization reform, introduced a program of co-financing of repair works by the local councils. This year have joined the program 47 of village and district councils. In 2016, under the program of co-financing was allocated 11.2 million UAH., but there are already plans for the next year from the local communities. And in 2017 we plan to attract UAH 18 million. "As a result, for the year 2016 of work actually performed on by 369.4 mln. Such funding, as this year, the road sector of the region not seen in years. This year has revealed problems that have accumulated in the road sector of the country, for 25 years. Is the lack and deterioration of equipment in the regional branches, this reduction of industry experts, for inadequate and paltry wages, is the lack of proper funding for decades. But the important thing is that 2016 is revealed : there is strength and there is a desire and possibility to increase the volume of the work, increase the pace of implementation and to rebuild the road network of the region",- concluded Igor Korolchuk.
