We lost the artist, who was called an artist-nationalist! During the Soviet era, the work of Dmitry Stetsko did not fit into the framework of socialist realism, therefore, were rejected as nationalist. But sir John had not ceased to create because he knew that his work – needs to develop the art of Independent Ukraine. In the first years of Independence of Ukraine Dmytro Stetsko initiated the creation of the National Association of Artists of Ukraine, National Union of artists of Ukraine. It is no exaggeration to say that Dmitry Stetsko – one of the symbols fine art of Independent Ukraine! Therefore, his departure to a better world – the tragedy of all of Ukraine!
