In Vinnytsia region is taking measures to prevent the introduction into and spread of the pathogen bird flu in the region

About this yesterday, January 5, said the head of Demirtzoglou in Vinnytsia region Gregory Sidoruk during a meeting of the State extraordinary antiepizootic Commission at the Vinnytsia regional state administration. Regarding highly pathogenic avian influenza poultry, he noted that the disease in 2016 was registered in 48 countries, 20 cases registered in the countries of Europe of these 5 flares in Ukraine, namely in the village of Novoaleksandrovka Kaunasskogo district (30.11.2016, poultry), sec.Novodmytrivka Genichesk district (18.12.2016, poultry), sec.Tsukury (18.11.2016 poultry) and S. Novokam Janka (18.11.2016, wild bird) Kahovsky district, Kherson region, in sec.Tortora (01.01.2017, wild bird) Kitsmansky district, Chernivtsi region. Since the disease carries a large economic losses because of the ban on the sale of poultry farming products. "Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen control over the implementation of measures to prevent the introduction into and spread of the pathogen influenza birds to the region," - said Gregory Sidoruk. To ensure epizootic well-being of the region in relation to the above diseases of animals and poultry it is proposed to undertake a number of activities, such as 1. Pursuant to the Decision of the State extraordinary antiepizootic Commission under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from 6 December 2016 (minutes No. 2) to take measures to ensure adequate funding in the 2017 state institutions of veterinary medicine within the need for the effective conduct of anti-epizootic measures. 2. To continue working at the district level, mobile teams with the purpose of realization of the actions directed on liquidation and prevention of distribution of infectious diseases of animals and poultry. 3. To ensure effective control over the movement of live animals and poultry and their products in the region. To prevent the movement of live animals and poultry without veterinary documents.
