Positive dynamics of tourist attractiveness of the capital of Bukovina is saved
As told by the head of administration of local taxes Chernivtsi LIGHTS Christina Bezhenar, through 2016, the year the tourist tax joined the local Treasury of Chernivtsi on 186,8 thousand UAH. this 56,8 thousand UAH. or almost a third more than in 2015 year. At constant rates the increase in revenues tourist tax testifies to positive dynamics of tourist attractiveness of the capital of Bukovina, after all, tourist tax – a kind of indicator of tourism development. On 01.01.2017 on the city of Chernivtsi counted 38 payers of tourist tax (including 10 legal entities and 28 entrepreneurs) that have a travel fee for the provision of services related to temporary residence. Recall that according to the Tax code of Ukraine payers of the fee are citizens of Ukraine, foreigners and stateless persons arriving to the territory of the administrative-territorial unit, where a decision of village, town and city Council about establishing a tourist fee, and receive (consume) services for temporary accommodation (overnight) with the obligation to leave the place of residence within the specified period. Tax agents charge a fee for providing services related to temporary accommodation (overnight stay) and indicate the amount of the paid fee as a separate line in the invoice (receipt) for accommodation. Tax rate is 1 percent of the cost of accommodation (excluding value added tax) and the cost does not include meals and other services. I hope that the guests of our beautiful city, leaving a nominal amount in the local basket, will definitely be back to Chernivtsi to continue to discover European culture and the hospitality of its inhabitants, and the capital of Bukovyna will take a worthy place in the ranking of the most visited cities in the world.
