In the celebrations for the 98th anniversary of the proclamation of the Act of zluka " – the unification of the Ukrainian national Republic (UNR) and Western Ukrainian people's Republic (ZUNR), which took place on 22 January 1919 at St. Sophia square in Kiev, was attended by first Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Andriy Gyzhko, first Deputy Chairman of the regional Council Lyudmila shcherbakovskaya, Secretary of Vinnytsia city Council Paul Jablonski and members of the public of the region, intellectuals, and members of the antiterrorist operation in the East of Ukraine, military personnel, and volunteers. In the framework of events held delegated the laying of wreaths to the places that symbolize the memory of these events, about the Ukrainian heroes who laid down their lives for the Unity and Independence of our state. In particular, to a memorial Board And-m of the government of the Ukrainian people's Republic, which three times was in the city of Vinnytsia; plaques Dmitry Markovich, who was Minister of justice in the Government of the Directory, and Chairman of Podolsk and a member of the Central Rada of the Ukrainian people's Republic; the memorial sign to the fallen soldiers of the Heavenly Hundreds and Heroes ATO; the memorial of Glory. Welcoming the participants of the meeting on the eve of a momentous for the Ukrainian people events Andrew Gyzhko noted that in this difficult time for the state, Vinnitsa region is doing everything for the development of Unification, strengthening of unity and the strengthening of democratic values. First Deputy head of Vinnytsia regional Council Lyudmila shcherbakovskaya wished the audience to stay strong and believe that our strength is in our unity, which, without doubt, is the most powerful weapon in the fight for strong, self-sufficient and independent Ukraine. During the festival the leaders of the region and the city was awarded government awards, Honorary diplomas of the regional state administration and regional Council and the flowers are the best representatives of the creative intelligentsia and public of the region, as well as the participants of the ATO, the military and volunteers. During the celebrations all participants watched a film about the achievements of the region in 2016 called "vinnichchina-2016. Year, which is remembered". Also my congratulations to the participants of the event presented the best creative collectives and executors of Podolia.
