During operative meeting the Director of the Department of culture Tatiana Gnativ informed of holding of new year and Christmas events in the city of Lutsk in December 2016 – January 2017 According to her, the cultural institutions of the city held 122 of Christmas and new year events in which participated 110 creative teams, including 47 children. Program new year and Christmas functions were formed for different age categories, however the main focus – the children. Therefore, traditionally, the event began library institutions in early December. Every library operated creative workshops with the participation of folk artists, master classes on making new year and Christmas paraphernalia, and study carols, meeting with folklorists and ethnographers, folklore, and the game clock. From 16 December to 19 January, continued to implement creative projects "Angels sing-Christmas" and "Christmas workshop", where masters of folk art presented their works and providoli master classes for all comers.
