the Prosecutor's office of Vinnytsia region is performed procedural management in criminal proceedings on the illegal production of alcoholic beverages in the underground workshop organized by a group of persons on the territory of Mogilev-Podolsk district. It is established that participants of criminal group purchased equipment for the illicit manufacture of alcoholic beverages, which ensures mass production, and opened an underground shop that is placed in the residential house of one of villages of the area, where, using two plastic containers on’with a volume of 1,000 liters, and mixed them in the water with ethyl alcohol and added appropriate supplements (vinegar, citric acid, sugar), producing alcoholic beverages, which by its characteristics similar to vodka. In the future, illegally manufactured alcoholic beverages, “rigged” poured into a three-liter plastic bags and placed in the packaging with the image of foreign brands “Jelzin Vodka”, “Finlandia” and “absolute”, giving them the type of product, which is supposedly made at the factory. During the investigation of the production of discovered and seized more than 5 thousand liters of the forged vodka. Currently, three participants of an organized criminal group is reported about suspicion in Commission of crimes under article 204 (illegal manufacture of alcoholic beverages, by opening of underground shops or using equipment that provides mass production of such goods) and article 229 (illegal use of sign for goods and services) of the criminal code of Ukraine. After reviewing the suspects with the materials of the proceedings, the indictment against them is directed to court for consideration in essence. Thanks to the coordinated cooperation of law enforcement officers managed not only to bring the perpetrators to criminal liability, but to prevent input in economic circulation of counterfeit products. During these offences are punishable with a fine in the amount of 255 thousand hryvnia.
