Free training at the School of international journalism Information Agency GuildHall" announces admission to the School of international journalism. The selection of participants is competitive. Project participants will receive free theoretical and practical knowledge from leading experts of the Ukrainian and European media, politicians, diplomats and experts. Weekly lectures and practical classes, the course lasts for 4 months. During the workshop, participants will gain the skills of gathering and analysing information, finding information from open sources (OSINT) and the establishment of communications with diplomats and politicians, interviewing, organizing and conducting media events, Studio and many others. The fourth wave of the permanent grant competition "mass media for Pro-European changes in Ukraine" Announced the fourth wave of the permanent grant competition "mass media for Pro-European changes in Ukraine" project of "Promotion of reforms in the regions", funded by the EU programme "Support to civil society in Ukraine". Deadline - 6 March 2017 The aim of the competition is the creation and development of regional media for coverage of issues related to relations between Ukraine and the European Union, the introduction of SA, other commitments of Ukraine to the EU to inform the society about the essence of European integration and European values and to promote reform in the regional dimension, for leading regional media financial ability for continuous illumination the European theme, promoting public discussion and raising public awareness on topics related to the EU at local, regional and interregional levels. It is expected that the project implementation will contribute to raising the awareness of media executives and leading journalists on the relationship between the EU and Ukraine in the reform process, supported by the EU. The competition priority is given to mass media, which operate outside the capital. Requirements to participants of competition To participate in the competition are invited to the media that: • officially registered as a legal entity in Ukraine is not less than 1 year (the grant application from the PAYROLL are not accepted); • have at least year, preferably three years experience; • have experience of publications on the subject of the proposed project; • have a constant audience of one or several regions of Ukraine (except Kyiv); • have the ability to implement grant projects and reporting (including financial reporting). In the competition can participate in the regional media of all types (except state): Internet, print and electronic media (radio and television), converged media that combines several types. The maximum grant size – 375 000 hryvnia (optimal project budget 200 000 – 300 000 hryvnia, depending on the type of media, less funding will give the winners an additional opportunity to apply for the extension of the project). Objective: Funding investigative journalism Perpetual competition for funding investigative journalism. Is carried out in the framework of the programme Objective - the project of media development in Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Turkey. Implemented by the Danish consulting company NIRAS and BBC with the financial support of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Denmark. To apply for financing of projects of investigation can Ukrainian, Belarusian and Moldovan journalists. The investigation should focus on the relations of Ukraine / Belarus / Moldova and the EU, nuclear energy business (offshore, taxation, violations of the law), the work of the government and local authorities, the environment, politics and economy of the 1990-ies, obstructing the progress of democracy. Support independent Ukrainian media by the U.S. Embassy Embassy of the United States of America invites independent media (print, radio, television and electronic) to apply to the contest Fund development of Ukrainian media. Requirements to participants of competition – the media must be independent, not be financed from public or party funds. The Foundation also provides individual grants to journalists and public organizations that contribute to the development of Ukrainian media Thematic priorities of the overall contest: – improving the quality of journalism education; – improving professional standards among journalists; creation of a favorable environment for Ukrainian media; – promotion of cooperation between media, NGOs and state institutions. The maximum amount of funding is 24 thousand dollars and is available for a project lasting from one to 12 months. The contest is ongoing and has no deadline. Duration: 1-12 months, the British Council is looking for an FM radio station for The Selector program The Selector is a weekly radio program that offers a compilation of the popular British new music, exclusive interviews with artists, live sessions, Studio recordings and more mixes. The program products team British independent agencies Folded Wing (London). In 2005, the show was recognized as the best weekly rudeprogram the UK and awarded the prestigious gold award Sony Radio Academy Awards. In Ukraine, The Selector went from 2011 to 2016 in the air "ProstoÐàä³î" (Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Zhitomir), and from 2015 in an online format on the radio "Aristocrats". Radio/nd that are interested in the location of The Selector in its broadcast, has the ability to: use entire content, or to compile their own show using the individual blocks; - to broadcast program without any changes to English or create your own show in Ukrainian. New video Contest on the topic of energy efficiency from the EU delegation in Ukraine The EU mission announces the acceptance of works for competition in the annual project "the EU: the choice of the young generation". The best videos will be awarded with special prizes and diplomas from the EU delegation in Ukraine, and each participant will receive a souvenir. This year, the Mission proposes to focus on energy efficiency and its importance in everyday life of the Ukrainians and for the welfare of the whole country. Works are accepted in two categories: professionals (those that have education and professional experience in the field of video production) and fans. Video requirements: • Last less than 3 minutes; • Be original and not use someone else's intellectual property; • Match the theme of energy saving and/or European integration of Ukraine Reception of works will last till may 23.
