In Ternopil celebrated the Winter
February 11 at the waterfront Ternopil pond held a Winter Holiday. The celebration this year was timed to the feast of the presentation of the Lord which is traditionally celebrated on February 15. During the festivities the citizens and guests of the city participated in sports competitions sledging, relay races, ice hockey tournament, in the competition for the best snow sculpture, listening to the concert and enjoyed festive meals. “Traditionally, on the day of the meeting we are trying to organise a celebration to them and guests could spend the winter. After all people always knew that regardless of what was winter, spring will soon come, bringing the heat - says mayor Sergei Nadal. – a Highlight of the annual Day celebrations of the Winter is that it happens on the Ternopil pond, and on the Waterfront that distinguishes our city from others”. Also on this day, socially-active entrepreneurs, all present were treated to hot tea and porridge, cooked in a field kitchen.
