This was stressed by Vice Prime Minister – Minister of regional development, construction, housing and utilities Gennadiy Zubko at the Congress of the Ukrainian Association of district and regional councils. "As of January 1, 2017 balances in accounts of local budgets amounted to UAH 52 billion, compared to 35 billion in 2016. In the state Budget for 2017 increased size of the educational subsidy to 8.1 billion UAH. (44.5 in 2016 to 52.6 in 2017), and medical subventions by UAH 11 bn (44,4 in 2016 to 55.5 in 2017). In addition, provide additional subsidy in the amount of 14.9 billion UAH from the state budget to local budgets for health and education.
