the First Deputy mayor Taras Yakovlev is on a working visit in Kyiv. In the capital, he took part in the round table on the theme: “the Practice of local e-petitions: the results of the year of application and ways of improvement”. The organizers are: the Committee on human rights, national minorities and interethnic relations and the Committee on state construction, regional policy and local self-government of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with the assistance and support of the Ukrainian-Swiss program “E-governance for accountability of authorities and community participation” (EGAP), the Association of open cities, USAID project “Citizens in action”, which is implemented by the Ukrainian independent center for political studies. During the “round table” will discuss the practice of e-petitions in local government and determine the practical and legal obstacles to effective use of electronic petitions. Will be also generated practical recommendations for improving the legislation and local regulatory legal acts in terms of e-petitions.
